MEET THE EXPERTS
It all started when Kelly opened the doors to Plateau Jewelers in 1996. What began as an infatuation with diamonds and other gemstones led to a socially acceptable lifelong obsession – and a thriving business.Kelly is a Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America and a Certified Gemologist of the American Gem Society. When he’s not behind the counter or the bench, you can find him with his family, reading, or indulging his need for speed through mountain biking and auto racing.
What do you get when you cross a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an innate talent for jewelry design? You get Sue. Sue is Co-owner and Vice President of Plateau Jewelers, where she finds all kinds of opportunities to put both her degree and her talents to the test. After all, you’ve got to be a little crazy and a lot talented to do what she does, right? Sue has been here since 1999, and while she fills in wherever needed around the store, she is primarily responsible for the bookkeeping. When she’s not in the store, she’s with her family, reading or even practicing yoga now and zen.
